RAF F-35B Jets Achieve First Operational Drone Shootdown Over Jordan

On Tuesday, RAF F-35B jets operating over Jordan shot down multiple uncrewed aerial systems, the Ministry of Defence said, marking the first time an RAF F-35 has destroyed a target on operations.
Regional clashes escalated, as the Middle East has been locked in air‑defence battles since US and Israel started striking Iran on Saturday, with hundreds of retaliatory missiles and drones launched, the Ministry of Defence said.
The UK is also sending HMS Dragon and Wildcat helicopters supported by Typhoon jets and a Voyager aircraft, with a British counter‑drone team intercepting inbound drones, Defense Secretary John Healey said `We are moving quickly to further reinforce our defensive presence in the Eastern Mediterranean`.
