Several people have received official letters informing them that the approval received almost five years ago would have been granted "by mistake".

The Guardian reports that the letters have been sent to at least 100 people, possibly more. The matter is related to the withdrawal agreement between the EU and the UK, which was concluded when the UK left the EU.
