Malibu Emergency Declared After Coastal Erosion Opens Sinkhole

Officials say coastal erosion, high surf and rain helped open the 25-foot-deep sinkhole, which forced evacuations and triggered a local emergency.

The emergency was declared Tuesday as the expanding sinkhole restricted access for residents and emergency services.
