Brazil's Embraer Announces New Variants of Praetor Business Jets
Embraer announced upgraded Praetor 500E and 600E jets with enhanced cabins, seating, and systems to meet growing global executive aircraft demand, with deliveries starting in 2029.
- Today, Embraer revealed two updated Praetor variants, the Praetor 600E and Praetor 500E, and opened them for orders, with first deliveries projected for 2029.
- Rather than a clean-sheet program, Embraer chose to iterate on the Praetor platform, adding interior and systems upgrades to raise the super-midsize category and challenge competitors.
- Inside the cabin, Embraer installed a 42-inch Smart Window monitor co-designed with Lufthansa Technik that made the divan middle seat most popular, next-generation seating with electric controls, RGB mood lighting with 16 million colors, and redesigned air vents and galley.
- Buyers face single-percentage price increases with baseline prices at $21,645,000 for the Praetor 500E and $25,795,000 for the Praetor 600E, which offers 4,108 nautical miles range plus higher payload.
- By bringing large-jet features downward, the firm uses in-house seating and systems work, Embraer says this approach controls costs while resetting industry benchmarks and buyer expectations.
