Candace Owens ‘Gay’ Allegations Put Past Relationships in Focus; What Podcaster Said About Dating
The posts cite old profiles and login records, but no independent evidence has confirmed the claims, IBTimes UK said.
- On Tuesday, content creator Esoteric Shaggyism posted unverified allegations on X claiming conservative commentator Candace Owens created dating profiles oriented toward women between 2007 and 2008, with some allegedly identifying as bisexual or lesbian.
- Edevane cited usernames "Candamo429" and "Cdot429" as connections to Owens, pointing to her April 29 birthday and data leaks from 2011 and 2016 allegedly linking her university email accounts to dating profiles listing queer preferences.
- One account allegedly logged into on January 12, 2022, while Owens was married with children; however, no independent evidence establishes she created or accessed the accounts, and alleged logins alone cannot prove account ownership or infidelity.
- Owens denied the allegations Wednesday in an X post and YouTube livestream, calling the claims "the most deranged" fabrication and asserting her 2008 YouTube account was hacked and a photograph came from her personal Facebook.
- Multiple sources emphasize there is no credible evidence supporting the unverified allegations, while observers note the irony of Owens, a MAGA Republican who called the trans rights movement Satanic, now facing such claims; Lauren Boebert faced similar allegations last month.
