Boeing set to salvage delayed Turkish Airlines order: Report

Boeing is nearing an agreement to finalize Turkish Airlines' purchase of 150 Boeing MAX jets after resolving an engine maintenance dispute that threatened to derail the high-profile deal.
Disagreements with CFM International over maintenance costs and the airline's desire to open a 'Premier' plant for 737 MAX engines caused the deal to stall, according to industry sources.
Announced last year after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met U.S. President Donald Trump, the purchase is part of a 225-aircraft package including 50 firm Boeing 787 orders and options for additional Dreamliners.
The deal could be signed next week, potentially avoiding an embarrassing reversal of the initial White House announcement, according to multiple people familiar with the matter.
Senior Vice President Finance Okan Bas noted the carrier continues to weigh further orders to manage its fleet of more than 400 aircraft while expanding its Istanbul hub.
