Body pulled from Lake County river during search for missing man

PAINESVILLE, Ohio — Authorities removed a body Thursday from the Grand River during a search for a man reported missing.A news release from the Painesville Police Department says officers were called to Beaty Landing on East Walnut Street at about 9 a.m. to assist the city’s fire department and the Ohio Search and Rescue team.

Search and rescue teams recovered a body from the Grand River on Thursday morning, the Painesville Police Department said.

Authorities say the identity of the person pulled from the water has not been confirmed. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy.
