Sheriff Robert Luna joined other senior officials of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday to promote the introduction of body cameras for officers assigned to county prisons. According to the LASD, this is the first implementation of this technology in Los Angeles County prisons. The initiative is designed to improve security, accountability and transparency in all detention centers run by the department, authorities said.
