A product version of the new generation X5 with fuel cell power will not be available until 2028, but BMW is already testing pre-series prototypes and preparing an Austrian Steira conveyor for mass production of innovative engines. The hydrogen BMW iX5, calculated to run up to 100 km/h faster than five seconds and will have a range of up to 750 km and its tanks will take less than five minutes to refuel.
