Blue Bombers put an end to Alouettes’ seven-game win streak with 44-28 beatdown

On Friday, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the CFL-leading Montreal Alouettes 44-28 at Princess Auto Stadium, snapping Montreal's seven-game win streak.
Coming off a 22-19 loss to the Edmonton Elks, the Bombers silenced doubters by delivering their best performance against a 9-1 Montreal team heading into the game.
Quarterback Zach Collaros threw for 324 yards and two touchdowns, while Bryce Perkins added three rushing majors and receiver Ontaria Wilson contributed 114 yards receiving.
Despite Montreal quarterback Davis Alexander throwing for 257 yards and four touchdowns, including three to Tyler Snead, the Alouettes dropped to 9-2 while Winnipeg improved to 6-5.
The Blue Bombers visit the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Sunday, Sept. 6, for the Labour Day Classic, while the Alouettes host the B.C. Lions on Friday, Sept. 4.
