Liberty and lightning: Crowd takes in Village at Woodside show for Independence Day

The traditional Village at Woodside fireworks show took place July 4, with Preston and Weston setting the event to music, with an occasional roll of thunder from distant clouds. The end result was "a fantastic evening," in the words of Jenn Kraus, owner of Uprooted Vegan. She had a food truck on the scene and estimated that she wound up serving more than 300 meals over the course of the evening.
