Laos, Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore and Mongolia — this is the list of countries that the US delegation will visit in the coming days, led by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. Washington wants to create a new regional security architecture. These are alliances that could play an important role in the event of a possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan or an attack by North Korea on the Republic of Korea.
