‘The Voice’: Riley Green Reveals What Got Him Season 30 Coaching Job
Green said a Grammy Museum Q&A and a Jimmy Fallon appearance helped him land his debut coaching role on The Voice Season 30.
Country singer Riley Green will make his debut as a coach on The Voice when Season 30 premieres in September 2026.
Green credited his hiring to two 2025 appearances: a performance and Q&A at the Grammy Museum in August 2025, followed by a spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon weeks later.
While Green joins rookie coach Queen Latifah on the panel, he studied Blake Shelton on The Voice and Luke Bryan on American Idol to prepare for the coaching role.
Although Green hasn't met fellow coaches Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson, Clarkson reached out personally. "She's a country fan, and I know she's covered some of my songs," Green added.
Filming for the upcoming season begins in the next couple months, and Green admitted he doesn't know what to expect aside from "how the chair works.
