Birth of endangered tiger cubs huge win for conservation
Three Sumatran tiger cubs were born at Howletts Wild Animal Park in Canterbury, Kent, U.K., to first-time mother Tipah and father Nakal and are now exploring outside their enclosure, marking an important milestone for conservation efforts.
The cubs are about two months old and include one male named Rokan and two females, one named Bila, with the park seeking help to name the other female cub.
The birth represents significant progress in conserving one of the world's rarest big cats.
One of the four cubs had died from natural causes, which the park said was heartbreaking but normal for large cat litters.
