Predator Assaulted 19 Young Girls While Working at Drayton Manor
Police said CCTV and a parent’s report led to the arrest of Josef Luke Hammond, who is accused of assaulting 19 girls under 13.
On Monday, former Drayton Manor ride operator Josef Luke Hammond pleaded guilty at Stafford Crown Court to 19 counts of sexually assaulting girls under 13.
The investigation began in August 2024 after a girl told her parent that Hammond had "touched her inappropriately," prompting staff to review CCTV and immediately suspend him.
Faced with "overwhelming evidence," police said the 24-year-old was "left with no choice but to admit all of the offences" committed over a five-month period in 2024.
Hammond remains on bail ahead of his sentencing at Stafford Crown Court on December 11, while Drayton Manor said they were "appalled" by the incidents.
Detective Inspector Vanessa Furnival of Staffordshire Police commended the victims' bravery, while authorities advised parents who believe their child may be a victim to "contact police directly" via 101.
