Birmingham bus driver dies after MAX Transit vehicle crashes into building

From Tribune Staff Reports BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A 67-year-old MAX Transit bus driver died Wednesday morning after the vehicle he was operating crashed into a building in Birmingham, according to the Birmingham Police Department. The driver, John Haward Scott, of Birmingham, was injured around 6:51 a.m. in the 2800 block of 29th Avenue North. Authorities said the bus was occupied at the time of the crash.
