Bills star QB Josh Allen (foot) sits out walkthrough
Josh Allen will play Sunday despite soreness from a right-foot injury sustained late in a recent game, with tests showing no structural damage, coach Sean McDermott said.
- Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills quarterback, was held out of Tuesday's walk-through in Orchard Park, NY because of a sore right foot but said `Yeah, ready to go` and `Yes, I'll be planning on playing` Sunday.
- The right foot issue came when his foot appeared to catch in the turf late in the second quarter scramble, but halftime team tests were negative and Josh Allen finished the game without missing a snap.
- Because Christmas moved the schedule, the Bills pushed practice up and skipped an official injury report until Wednesday, listing Josh Allen, Jordan Phillips, Matt Prater, and Jordan Poyer as non-participants.
- Buffalo Bills clinched a seventh straight playoff berth Monday but trails the AFC East leader and must win its final two games to improve seeding; Josh Allen, reigning AP NFL MVP, ranks second with 37 touchdowns and has a 120-game start streak.
- Describing the plan as injury management, McDermott said they will consider adding a quarterback after Shane Buechele signed with the Kansas City Chiefs Monday, leaving Trubisky to take extra scout-team reps.
