Biljana Plavšić, a former president of the Republic of Serbia who was convicted of crimes against humanity during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Hague International War Crimes Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, died in Belgrade at the age of 96, Serbian media reported.
After her release from prison, she lived in Belgrade and only occasionally appeared in public.
SNSD President Milorad Dodik expressed his condolences on the death of the former President Biljana Plavšić, saying that she was a debt to the Republika Srpska, and that she deserved all the state honors.
