A former overseer of a high school in Orléans, who later became director of a college in Châteauroux, is one of the three persons placed in police custody on Wednesday, February 19, as part of the investigation into the Betharram case. He came out free from his custody, because of the prescription of the charges against him. Where he practised, it was unbelief.
Today, suspected among other things of "aggravated rape" during his duties as overseer in Betharram, Damien Saget, later became for thirteen years director of a private college in Châteauroux.
The former principal of the Collège Léon XIII de Châteauroux is currently in police custody in the Betharram case. An investigation has been opened for physical and sexual violence, which has been reported by more than a hundred former students at the Béarnais Catholic institution.
