Bentley unveils its first fully electric car
Bentley says the all-electric SUV uses a 113 kWh battery and can add about 100 miles of range in seven minutes.
- On yesterday, Bentley began production of the Bentley Torcal, the brand's first all-electric SUV, featuring a redesigned logo on the hood and rear liftgate.
- Drawing from the EXP 15 concept, the Torcal incorporates the Endless Bonnet Line and Prestigious Shield principles, emphasizing a long hood and restrained side surfacing to preserve ultra-luxury presence.
- With 876 horsepower and 996 pound-feet of torque, the Torcal is the most powerful and quickest production car Bentley has built, achieving a 2.8-second 60-mph sprint.
- Bentley equipped the Torcal with Porsche-derived Active Ride suspension and a 108-kWh battery supporting 800-volt architecture, enabling a 10 to 80 percent charge in about 16 minutes via 400-kW connection.
- Available with 21- or 22-inch wheels, the Torcal offers around 600 kilometers of range and launches early next year at a price below the $230,000 Bentayga.
