Bengals, Falcons to square off in 2026 Madrid game
On Tuesday, the NFL announced the Cincinnati Bengals will face the Atlanta Falcons at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain, on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026, marking the league's second regular-season game in Spain.
This contest is part of a record nine international games spanning four continents and seven countries during the 2026 season. The game is part of a multiyear deal to host matches at this venue.
Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow will make his first international appearance in his seven-year career. The team previously played two games in London, tying the Washington Commanders 27-27 in 2016 and losing to the Los Angeles Rams 24-10 in 2019.
Falcons President and CEO Greg Beadles said the team is honored to play at the iconic venue, calling it "a unique opportunity to connect with fans in Spain." The stadium previously hosted 78,610 fans for the first Spanish NFL game.
Bengals Director of Strategy and Engagement Elizabeth Blackburn called the game "a special opportunity to showcase the passion, energy and community that define the Bengals." The full 2026 schedule releases Thursday, with Burrow planning to arrive early for time zone acclimation.
