- On Thursday, Aug. 7, LaDamion Guyton committed to Texas Tech, the program’s highest-rated recruit, over Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
- After an eight-win 2024 season under coach Joey McGuire, Texas Tech finished $242 million in stadium and facilities renovations and is reportedly spending over $25 million on its 2025 roster.
- In high school, LaDamion Guyton recorded 134 total tackles and 16.5 sacks at Savannah Christian Prep, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 220 pounds as the No. 2 in the ESPN Junior 300.
