Bed Bath & Beyond Wants Consumers to Dig up Old Coupons
The revived chain is accepting any old blue-and-white coupons for 20% off and entering shoppers in a sweepstakes with a $100,000 home renovation prize.
On Monday, Bed Bath & Beyond launched its 21-day 'Legendary Coupon Hunt' running through July 13, offering a $100,000 home transformation prize for customers who submit the oldest coupon.
Following its 2023 bankruptcy, the company is using this campaign to support a turnaround strategy, with owner Beyond, Inc. reopening physical stores in partnership with The Container Store.
Participating locations will honor expired coupons at their original 20% value, while customers qualify for additional prizes: $500 gift cards for 100 winners and $100 gift cards for 50 winners.
Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. President Amy Sullivan said the campaign celebrates customers who "tucked them into purses, filing cabinets, cookbooks and memory boxes" because they believed coupons would be valuable.
The company is rolling out 22 new storefronts nationwide, including in California, to rebuild its physical presence after previously closing all locations during bankruptcy.
