A bear about 1.5 meters long spent hours lurking in bushes in a residential area in Miyagi Prefecture, northeastern Japan, on Sunday before being killed.
According to Miyagi Prefectural Police and other sources, at around 4:00 a.m. on the 19th, a report was received that there was a bear in the bushes of a residential area in Aoba Ward, Sendai City. The city has set up a box trap and is attempting to capture it, but as of noon that day, the bear was still in the same spot.
