The European Union (EU) announced today that it is "deeply concerned" because the Assembly of Kosovo last night amended the Law on the Specialized Court and the Specialized Prosecutor's Office, the authorities of Kosovo sitting in The Hague.
The European Union has said it is deeply concerned by the amendments to the Law on Kosovo's Specialist Chambers, which, according to Brussels officials, conflict with Kosovo's international obligations towards the EU. The law was voted on Tuesday night, shortly before the Assembly elected Justina Shiroka Pula as head of state of Kosovo, which was welcomed by Brussels.
