BURNS LAKE — BC Wildfire Service personnel are battling two new fires in the Northwest Fire Centre. The out-of-control Tibbets Creek wildfire is located 21 kilometres east of Burns Lake and is visible from Highway 16. It was discovered at 4 p.m. on August 8 and is estimated at 0.8 hectares in size.
