Harman Bhangu Wins His Second Campaign for Langley-Abbotsford
Bhangu led the field with 11,893 votes as Conservatives held all three Langley ridings in the snap election.
Conservative incumbent Harman Bhangu won a second term in Langley-Abbotsford on Saturday, holding 11,893 of the 19,224 votes tallied with 66 of 82 ballot boxes counted.
A small-business owner in the heavy-load trucking industry, Bhangu brings 17 years of experience in aggregate hauling to his second term. He is also a father of two and active football coach.
In 2024, Bhangu secured the newly-created riding with 55.8 per cent of the vote; this time he defeated NDP candidate Osborne, Green hopeful Melissa Snazell, OneBC's Shelly Jan, and Libertarian Alex Joehl.
Heading to Vancouver, Bhangu joined Conservative Party members celebrating with premier-elect Lorne Doerkson as the party secured enough seats to form a majority government.
"I've been training all off season and this is the fruits of that labour," Bhangu said, comparing his campaign to sports tryouts. He pledged to serve as his constituents' voice in the legislature.
