BBC Radio 2 Star Trevor Nelson Reveals Brain Tumour Diagnosis
Trevor Nelson says he is recovering well after very serious surgery and plans to return to radio work soon, with thousands sending support.
On Thursday, BBC radio DJ Trevor Nelson announced via Instagram that he underwent surgery for a brain tumour, explaining he stepped back from work earlier this summer after receiving the diagnosis.
The 62-year-old broadcaster had previously announced a hiatus in June to address 'health issues' after a routine check-up, which fueled speculation among listeners about his condition.
Nelson confirmed he had 'very serious surgery' that went well and spent the past month at home recuperating and receiving post-operation treatment.
Expressing that he feels 'energised' and 'great right now,' the DJ stated he is almost back to his normal self, thanking fans for their support during recovery.
Nelson intends to return to his work commitments very soon, planning to resume his radio shows and DJ sets after successfully navigating this health crisis.
