Battle of the family SUVs: Hyundai Palisade vs Kia Telluride
Edmunds says the Palisade has a richer cabin and a lower-priced hybrid, while the Telluride is quicker and slightly cheaper to start.
Edmunds recommends the redesigned 2026 Hyundai Palisade over the 2027 Kia Telluride, citing its richer luxury feel and more affordable hybrid as deciding factors in the three-row SUV comparison.
Both automakers recently redesigned these popular three-row SUVs, updating styling and technology. The Palisade features soft curves and midcentury modern design, while the Telluride maintains a linear, angular theme.
Regarding performance, both hybrid models produce 329 horsepower, though the Telluride Hybrid achieves EPA-estimated 35 mpg compared to the Palisade Hybrid's 34 mpg. Standard engines differ, with the Telluride using a 274-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder and the Palisade a 287-horsepower V6.
The Palisade Hybrid starts at $41,035, while the Telluride Hybrid starts at $40,735 plus a $7,300 premium for hybrid capability. Edmunds testing found the Palisade's power-sliding third row easily accommodated suitcases where the Telluride struggled with cargo.
Both SUVs include dual 12.3-inch displays and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, though the Telluride adds two standard wireless chargers. They share a five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty and an eight-year powertrain warranty.
