By Paul Goldfinger. 1st alto sax. My college jazz band (FDU Rutherford) played a beauty pageant in Myrtle Beach, S. Carolina. It was the “Miss Fun in the Sun” Festival. We would have liked to mingle and have fun with the contestants, but we couldn’t get anywhere near them.
