- Ministry of Health and Family Welfare data released Sunday showed 6,476 suspected measles cases among children aged six months to five years, with 17 confirmed deaths and 826 confirmed cases nationwide.
- Health Minister Sardar Shakhawat Hossain Bakul said the drive will prioritize 30 "worst affected areas" before expanding, and public health expert Bari warned, "Now we see the result — the situation is scary."
- Records show the highest suspected cases reached 25,934 in 2005, and a planned 2024 immunization drive was delayed by the uprising that toppled the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
