Bailey Ober takes step toward return with first rehab outing
Bailey Ober pitched 3 1/3 innings for the High-A Cedar Rapids Kernels in his first rehab outing since being placed on the injured list with elbow inflammation, throwing 57 pitches and giving up three runs on seven hits on June 28.
Mike Paredes has been filling Ober's spot in the Twins' rotation, recently pitching 5 1/3 innings against the Colorado Rockies and showing deeper starts over four games.
Mick Abel will undergo arthroscopic elbow surgery following renewed symptoms after rehab outings and a bullpen session.
