Bahrain Foreign Minister to Visit Pakistan for Talks on Trade, Defence: FO

- On Wednesday, Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani arrived in Islamabad for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
- Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Zayani are co-chairing the third session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, defence, and cultural exchanges.
- The Foreign Office stated the two sides will review the "entire spectrum of bilateral relations," seeking to strengthen diverse areas including economic cooperation, security, and labour exchanges.
- Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy "close, cordial and brotherly ties," the Foreign Office added, noting the visit reflects strong momentum and shared commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.
- The ministers will also exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest while exploring cooperation opportunities at multilateral forums during the engagement.
