BA axes several flights to destinations in Middle East amid conflict
British Airways is reducing services to seven Middle East destinations and permanently ending its Jeddah route, citing the ongoing conflict in the region.
British Airways is scaling back services to seven Middle Eastern destinations through October 24, citing the ongoing conflict in the region as the reason for these changes.
Adjusting its summer 2026 schedule, the airline is responding to regional volatility and has permanently ended its Jeddah route as of April 24.
Services to Dubai are reduced to one daily flight until August 1, while Doha, Riyadh, and Tel Aviv flights are cut to once daily; Bahrain and Amman services are paused until October 25.
British Airways stated, "Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, we have made further changes to our flying schedule to provide greater clarity for our customers," and is contacting affected travelers.
IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol warned of "the largest energy crisis we have ever faced" due to supply pinch-offs through the Strait of Hormuz, potentially driving higher fuel prices.
