‘The Pitt’ Star Noah Wyle Named People’s 2026 Sexiest Man Alive
The ER and The Pitt star said he thought the honor was a prank after earning Golden Globe and Emmy recognition for his hospital roles.
On Tuesday, People magazine named actor Noah Wyle as its 2026 Sexiest Man Alive, marking the 41st year of the annual award for the 55-year-old star of HBO's The Pitt.
Wyle initially doubted the news, telling People that he thought it sounded like 'a prank' and never expected such an honor to be bestowed on him.
Known for portraying Dr. John Carter on NBC's ER, Wyle currently plays Dr. Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch in The Pitt, where he earned a Golden Globe and back-to-back Emmy awards in 2025 and 2026.
His wife, Sara, encouraged him to embrace the title, believing it reflects well on her taste; his daughter joked she would tease him about it for the next 50 years.
George Clooney, a two-time Sexiest Man Alive winner, previously joked at the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards that he would nominate Wyle if the organization created a 'Sexiest Man Still Alive' issue.
