Ford reports mixed third-quarter results, says 2027 earnings will be in line with this year
Wall Street expects lower revenue and earnings as F-150 output fell after a separate supplier disruption, while investors watch warranty costs.
Ford Motor is set to announce third-quarter earnings after the markets close Wednesday, with investors monitoring performance following manufacturing challenges earlier this year.
F-150 production declined from more than 57,500 units in August to less than 43,000 in September due to an unrelated supplier disruption late last month.
Estimates compiled by LSEG show Wall Street expects 40 cents adjusted earnings per share and $46.24 billion in automotive revenue, representing a roughly 11% decline in per-share earnings.
Ford reaffirmed its 2026 adjusted earnings guidance, calling the disruption "containable within" its existing outlook of $10 billion to $11 billion in adjusted earnings before interest and taxes.
Analysts are monitoring warranty costs and broader F-Series performance as Ford continues recovering from truck production challenges that affected operations throughout the past year.
