AutoCanada buys collision repair business Contemporary Coachworks in Calgary
The deal adds 15 brand certifications and expands AutoCanada’s network of more than 30 collision centres, the company said.
On Monday, June 8, 2026, AutoCanada Inc. acquired Contemporary Coachworks, a Calgary-based collision repair business with two locations serving the city's north and south sides, marking the company's first luxury collision repair presence in Calgary.
Operating 64 franchised dealerships across Canada, AutoCanada manages 23 brands in eight provinces and maintains more than 30 collision centres , positioning the acquisition as part of its broader network expansion.
Contemporary Coachworks holds certifications across 15 brands, including Tesla, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Volvo, Acura and Volkswagen, reflecting its specialization in high-end vehicle repairs.
Financial terms of the deal were not immediately available, though the acquisition aligns with the company's growth strategy for its Canadian repair network.
AutoCanada is currently selling its U.S. dealership portfolio, which operates under the Leader Automotive Group name and includes 10 franchised dealerships comprised of seven brands.
