Austrian police: Finnish man displayed a gun at the Christmas market in Vienna on Friday

According to Austrian police, the man showed his gun to other people, but did not threaten to shoot.

Austrian media reports that a heavily intoxicated 39-year-old Finnish man displayed a gas pistol at the Vienna Christmas market on Friday evening. Vienna police announced the incident on Saturday. The matter was also reported by, among others, the Austrian public broadcaster ORF and the Heute newspaper.

According to Austrian media, the man took off his jacket several times, revealing the gun underneath to others present.
