Austin bandmember detained at DFW had active warrant, Homeland Security says

A drummer for an Austin band attempting to catch a flight for a tour in Europe was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the DFW International Airport on Monday.

Austin drummer's removal from flight appears related to criminal warrant, not immigration action

According to jail records, Yamal Said, a green card holder, is being held in a county jail in the Dallas area for allegedly violating a restraining order. At this time, there does not appear to be a connection to his immigration status.
