Following an uncontrolled hacker attack by one of its AI systems, the US company OpenAI is preparing to release its new Astra ChatGPT model with stronger security measures. Among other things, OpenAI has trained Astra to more reliably reject malicious cybersecurity requests and comply with security restrictions, the company said on Tuesday.
A difficult time for OpenAI. The AI company is suffering greatly from the Hugging Face hack a few weeks ago, in which AI agents attempted to gain access to the platform on their own. It now appears that this even forced it to put the development of its new AI model on hold.
