MENAI STRAIT, WALES, JUL 15 – Emergency services rescued a man in difficulty in the Menai Strait after a major search; his death is not considered suspicious, police said.
- On Tuesday, teams from Penmon Coastguard, Bangor Coastguard, Beaumaris RNLI, Moelfre RNLI and North Wales Police launched a search across the Menai Strait in North Wales and recovered a missing man from the water.
- North Wales Police spokesperson said searches began at around 10.30am after a missing person report, focusing on the Menai Strait area in North Wales.
- At 11.30am, the missing man was recovered from the Menai Strait and he was subsequently transported to hospital for treatment.
- He died in hospital on Wednesday, and North Wales Police spokesperson said the coroner has been informed.
- In a statement, North Wales Police said the death is not suspicious, and his family are being supported at this time.
