At least 46,000 flee fighting in Yemen: UN
The International Organization for Migration said the number has more than doubled in days as fighting spread across western Yemen.

- The Iran-backed Houthis launched a large-scale offensive last week against Saudi-backed government forces, seizing the Red Sea port city of Mocha on Thursday and a key island in the Bab al-Mandab strait on Friday.
- According to the International Organization for Migration, "Entire villages are reported to have emptied" west of Taiz, while the critical Mocha-Taiz supply road has reportedly been cut.
- International Organization for Migration chief Amy Pope warned that "as fighting spreads, reaching people with lifesaving assistance is becoming harder," urging all parties to protect civilians and humanitarian facilities.
- Saudi Arabia responded to the offensive with dozens of airstrikes, with the latest two hitting Mocha airport on Friday, according to Houthi media reports.
