Asda Shoppers Will 'See a Difference Straightaway' at 426 Stores
Asda said the overhaul adds more than 400 items, cuts staple prices and gives children free fruit in 426 superstores.
Asda has launched one of its biggest updates in recent years, introducing more than 400 new food and drink items while cutting prices on hundreds of everyday essentials across its more than 1,200 UK locations.
The supermarket currently serves around 16 million customers each week, aiming to enhance the in-store experience while building on its value proposition against competitors like Tesco, Sainsbury, and Morrisons.
Price drops for garden peas and baked beans accompany new £1 and £2 labels, while pork sausages were reduced from £1.79 to £1.58 to showcase budget-friendly options in-store and online.
Rachel Eyre, chief customer officer at Asda, told Grocery Gazette that these changes support shoppers making careful choices: "We know many customers are making careful choices when they shop."
Expanding frozen options with more than 230 new items from brands like Crosta Mollica, the retailer also updated The Asda Rewards programme and continues offering free fruit to children in its 426 superstores.
