Driver, 50, Charged with Murder in Reported Victorville Hit-and-Run that Killed 2 Teens
Authorities say the drivers were speeding and may have been racing when both cars hit the girls' Acura, killing two teenagers.
- On Friday, August 28, prosecutors charged Terry Lamar Easter, 50, with two counts of murder following an August 14 street racing crash in Victorville that killed teenagers Maddalyn Dailey, 17, and Isabell Hill, 16.
- Authorities allege Easter and George Gary Sanchez, 49, were racing at 'extremely high speeds' of 117 mph through a residential neighborhood before their muscle cars collided with the victims' Acura near Ridgecrest Road and Elmwood Drive.
- After the collision split the victims' Acura in half, Easter allegedly abandoned his injured 8-year-old child and fled the scene, evading authorities until his surrender on Wednesday, August 26.
- While Sanchez remains in custody following his arrest shortly after the crash, the California Highway Patrol arrested three others on suspicion of being accessories after the fact during the search for Easter.
- Scheduled for Monday, August 31, Easter's arraignment at the Victorville Superior Courthouse will address charges including willful cruelty to a child and engaging in a motor vehicle speed contest.
