The National Police has arrested a 59-year-old man in Alcoy for his alleged involvement in the offences of documentary falsehood and the rights of foreign citizens; the detainee had allegedly registered at the home where he resided on a rental basis for foreign citizens in order to carry out documentation procedures, subject to payment of a financial amount.
The investigation began when a man went to a police station to check on the procedures related to an invitation letter for a foreign citizen. Upon reviewing the documentation, officers found that his registration certificate included several foreign people registered at the address where he resided, on different dates.
