- Since October 2023, around 1,500 individuals in Gaza have suffered vision loss from injuries, while close to 4,000 more are at high risk of becoming blind due to a severe shortage of eye care services overwhelmed by the ongoing conflict.
- The Ministry urged urgent intervention from international organizations to prevent a total suspension of eye surgeries and further deterioration in Gaza's health sector.
