BAALBEK, LEBANON, AUG 6 – The Lebanese army killed three notorious traffickers involved in kidnapping, armed attacks, and narcotics distribution during a targeted operation in Baalbek, officials said.

- Judicial officials said one suspect held 115 arrest warrants and was involved in the 2023 kidnapping of a Saudi citizen in Beirut, while three suspects attacked army posts, kidnapped, and stole.
- The Lebanese army denied reports of targeting suspects’ family homes or clashing with residents in Baalbek, emphasizing its nationwide presence amid cash-strapped conditions.
