Former Metropolitan Archbishop of Przemyśl, Archbishop Józef Michalik, underwent complicated cardiac surgery after being hospitalized unexpectedly on Wednesday. Therefore, the bishops of the Przemyśl Archdiocese have appealed to the faithful to pray for the hierarch. May this be an expression of gratitude for his many years of fervent service in the Przemyśl Archdiocese and for the Church in Poland, they said.
The Przemyśl Curia published a letter announcing Archbishop Michalik's surgery. The faithful are asked to pray for the priest's health.
