‘Apun idharich rahega’: Sanjay Dutt’s PM act takes swipe at Modi's foreign trips, says ‘can’t feel peace’ in India
Dutt slipped into his Munna Bhai persona and said India needs a fourth monkey to correct wrongdoing.
On Gandhi Jayanti, actor Sanjay Dutt appeared on host Shekhar Suman's show, adopting his iconic Munna Bhai persona to imagine himself as Prime Minister of India for five minutes.
During the segment, Dutt criticized the prominent display of political leaders' photographs in public spaces, proposing instead to replace them with images of Gandhi or the country itself.
Taking a jibe at President Donald Trump, Dutt called him "Trump Mamu" and urged global leaders to export love instead of missiles, saying "Trump mamu is trying to push the whole world out of the frame."
Dutt expressed concern, stating he could not feel the same sense of peace in India anymore, emphasizing that true peace is created through love and Gandhigiri, not isolation.
Closing the segment, Dutt prayed to Shivji that "those days come back soon," while continuing work on upcoming projects including Baap and Khalnayak Returns.
Sanjay Dutt is facing criticism for his statement, in which he said, "I no longer feel that peace in our country." Users have also recalled his past controversy.
