Appeals Filed Against Barrick's Construction of a New Tailings Dam

A group of victims, as well as various social, environmental, and climate organizations, filed two injunctions before the Superior Administrative Court (TSA) on Tuesday, one of extreme urgency and the other preventive, to stop the threat by the mining company Barrick Gold to build a new tailings dam in the municipal district of Sambrana, in the municipality of Cotuí, Sánchez Ramírez province.
